iAmProperty Integration: Sync Settings Guide

Learn what can sync between iAmProperty and Inventory Base, including properties, viewings, clients, reports, feedback, and available sync filters.

The iAmProperty integration helps you keep key information in sync between iAmProperty and Inventory Base.

Depending on your selected settings, the integration can sync properties, viewings, clients, contacts, reports, and viewing feedback.

This guide explains what each setting controls and what to check if information is not syncing as expected.

Before You Start


Before using the iAmProperty integration, check that:

  • Your iAmProperty integration is connected in Inventory Base.

  • Your iAmProperty branches are correctly configured.

  • The correct sync settings are enabled.

  • The correct property types, statuses, and contact options are selected.

  • You have the required permissions in Inventory Base to manage integrations.

What Can Sync From iAmProperty Into Inventory Base?


The following settings control what information can come into Inventory Base from iAmProperty.

Allows iAmProperty viewings to be created as inspections in Inventory Base.

Clients

Mirror iAmProperty Branches As Inventory Base Clients

Creates or mirrors iAmProperty branches as clients in Inventory Base.

What Can Sync From Inventory Base Back To iAmProperty?


The integration can also send selected information from Inventory Base back to iAmProperty.

Sends finalised report PDFs from Inventory Base back to iAmProperty.

Viewing Feedback

Send Completed Inspection Notes Back As Viewing Feedback

Sends completed inspection notes back to iAmProperty as viewing feedback.

This helps keep iAmProperty updated after the inspection or report work has been completed in Inventory Base.

Branch Filters


The Branches filter controls which iAmProperty branches are included in the sync.

The branches available here are based on the branches configured in iAmProperty.

If a branch is not available to select in Inventory Base, check that it has been set up correctly in iAmProperty first.

Property Type Filters


You can choose which property types should sync from iAmProperty.

What This Means

Lettings Properties

Includes lettings properties from iAmProperty.

Sales Properties

Includes sales properties from iAmProperty.

If a property is missing from Inventory Base, check that the correct property type is selected.

Lettings Status Filters


The Lettings Statuses filter controls which lettings properties are included based on their status in iAmProperty.

Available statuses include:

  • Available

  • Let Agreed

  • Let

  • Withdrawn

  • Holding Deposit Taken

  • Under Offer

For example, if Withdrawn is not selected, withdrawn properties may not be included in the sync.

Tenant Filters


Tenant filters control which tenant contacts can sync into Inventory Base.

Include Current Tenants

Syncs tenant contacts currently linked to the property.

Include Previous Tenants

Syncs tenant contacts previously linked to the property.

If tenant details are missing, check whether the correct tenant options are enabled.

Landlord Filters


Landlord filters control which landlord contacts can sync into Inventory Base.

Include Current Landlords

Syncs landlord contacts currently linked to the property.

Include Previous Landlords

Syncs landlord contacts previously linked to the property.

If landlord details are missing, check whether the correct landlord options are enabled.

Withdrawn Properties


The Cancel Inspections When iAmProperty Marks The Property As Withdrawn setting controls what happens when a property is marked as withdrawn in iAmProperty.

When this setting is enabled, Inventory Base can cancel linked inspections when the property is marked as withdrawn in iAmProperty.

This helps reduce manual updates when a property is no longer progressing.

Manually Syncing Properties And Viewings


Once the integration is connected, you may see options to manually sync information.

Available actions include:

  • Sync Properties

  • Sync Viewings

Use these options when you want to pull the latest property or viewing information from iAmProperty into Inventory Base.

What To Check If Something Does Not Sync


If information does not appear in Inventory Base as expected, check the following:

  • Is the iAmProperty integration showing as Connected?

  • Is the correct branch selected?

  • Is the correct property type selected?

  • Is the property using a selected lettings status?

  • Are current or previous tenant options enabled, if tenant details are expected?

  • Are current or previous landlord options enabled, if landlord details are expected?

  • Has the property been marked as Withdrawn in iAmProperty?

  • Has the relevant sync option been run, such as Sync Properties or Sync Viewings?

If report PDFs or viewing feedback are not appearing in iAmProperty, check that the related reverse sync settings are enabled.

What To Do Next


After reviewing your settings, run the relevant sync option and check whether the expected information appears in Inventory Base.

If the integration is managed by iAmProperty for your account, you may also need to contact iAmProperty to confirm your branch or account setup.
