Review Settings for Reports

Enable Review Settings to ensure inspections are checked by a Manager before completion. Improve quality control, reduce errors, and maintain consistent report standards.

Review Settings allows inspections to be reviewed by a Manager or Admin before being marked as Complete and delivered.

This helps ensure quality control, consistency, and oversight before reports are sent to clients, tenants, or landlords.

You can enable Review:

  • For all inspections (account-wide)

  • For selected inspections only

  • As part of a Clerk → Manager workflow

How Review Works


When Review is enabled:

  1. The inspection must move into Review before it can be marked as Complete.

  2. A Manager/Admin can review the report and provide feedback.

  3. Once approved, the inspection can be marked as Complete and delivered.

This ensures that only reviewed reports are sent out.

Enable Review for ALL Inspections (Account-Wide)


To require all inspections to go through Review:

  1. Navigate to Settings at the top of your dashboard.

  2. Click on Reports.

  3. Scroll down to Advanced Settings.

  4. Enable Review Settings.

ℹ️ Once enabled, all inspections will move to Review before they can be completed.

Enable Review for SELECTED Inspections


If you only want specific inspections to require review:

  1. Open the inspection.

  2. Go to the Info page.

  3. Click on Settings within the inspection.

  4. Enable Review Settings.

ℹ️ Once enabled, the inspection will be moved into Review before completion.

Moving an Inspection into Review


When Review is enabled on an inspection:

  • You will see the option to move the inspection from Active to Review.

  • A Manager/Admin can then review and approve it.

Moving an Inspection into Review (App)


If Review is enabled, inspections completed in the app will first move into the Review state once synced.

To submit an inspection for Review via the app:

  1. Once you have added all relevant information, tap Preview (top right corner).

  2. Tap Complete.

  3. Add any required signatures.

  4. Tap Sync.

⚠️ Although the inspection is marked as Complete in the app, it will not be finalised if Review is enabled.

Once synced to the dashboard, the inspection will move into the Review state. A Manager/Admin (or a Clerk with the appropriate permissions) must then approve and move the inspection to Complete from the online dashboard.

Move Active Inspections into Review in Bulk


You can submit multiple inspections for review at once.

  1. Click on the Inspections tab.

  2. Use the filters to display the Active inspections you want to move.

  3. Click the blue Select button.

  4. Select the inspections you want to move into review.

  5. Choose Submit for review from the dropdown menu.

Clerk Review Workflow


For teams using transcription or staged review processes:

1. The Clerk must have Reviews Own Transcription enabled.

2. The Clerk then starts the inspection, adds all relevant information and submits for processing.

3. Once the inspection is processed, it will first move to Clerk Review.

4. The Clerk reviews and confirms their work, and the inspection can then be submitted to a Manager for final Review.

ℹ️ This adds an additional quality layer before Manager approval.

Important Notes


  • Review Settings can be enabled or disabled at account level or inspection level.

  • Inspections cannot be marked as Complete while in Review.

  • Review helps maintain report quality and reduces errors before delivery.
