InventoryBase Live offers a safe and secure way for inventory clerks, property managers, and landlords to carry out remote property inspections. This virtual solution allows service providers to inspect a property without needing to enter the home—supporting social distancing while still delivering essential information to landlords and managing agents to ensure properties and tenants remain safe and protected.
As the service provider, you can easily enable a Live Inspection on any report by entering the participant’s name and email address. Once scheduled, InventoryBase will automatically send the participant a secure link to join the session, which becomes accessible 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.
Getting Started
Note: This feature works only in Google Chrome, and the person onsite must have the Live Inspection app installed on their device.

Creating the Live Inspection
1. To begin, create a new inspection as usual, and choose the Live Inspection report type.
2. Once selected, a row will appear for you to add your Live Contact's details. This will be the person on-site with the live streaming app.
3. Next, complete the date, time and choose which clerk/manager will be working with the participant and filling out the report on Inventory Base.
4. Fill in any other details as required, and select Save and Continue. This will send an email to the contact with a unique code, which they will need to establish a connection on the app.
You can also find this code on the INFO tab of the inspection.
5. The tenant, client or third party user will receive an email containing their unique secret code to connect at the scheduled date and time. The user will need to download the Apple app or the Android app and enter in the unique code.
💡 Note: This feature only functions when the assigned Clerk logs into their own profile and conducts the live inspection. An Admin or Manager can initiate the call, but the inspection will only proceed successfully if it is carried out by the Clerk to whom it is assigned.
