Report Editor Settings

Customise how you create and review reports with the Report Editor’s flexible settings. From text styling and display options to enhanced paste and audio playback tools, these settings help you tailor your editing experience for accuracy, speed, and ease of use.

Getting Started

1. Navigate to an inspection on your online dashboard, and click on Edit Report.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the report editor, and click on Editor Settings.

3. You will see the option to enable/disable the below editor options:

Setting

Description

Full Width

Expands the report editor to full screen width for a wider, more comfortable editing workspace.

Multiline Paste

Allows you to paste multiple lines of text at once without losing formatting or spacing.

Checks text against your set dictionary to maintain consistent spelling and wording across reports.

Displays an audio playback bar when a dictation recording is available, allowing you to listen while editing.

Provides quick styling tools such as bold, italics and underline to format and emphasise text within the report.


Dictionary

The Dictionary helps standardise spelling and phrasing across your reports. When enabled, it automatically checks words against your set dictionary and flags any unrecognised terms.
This feature is especially useful for maintaining consistency in report language across teams.

To use your dictionary while editing reports, simply enable the Dictionary option within your Report Editor settings.

1. Under your Settings tab, you can configure and customise your account’s dictionary. Read our Dictionary article to learn more about managing and updating your terms.

2. Any items you add to the dictionary will appear as selectable options within the Report Editor, helping you maintain consistent wording across your reports.

If you prefer not to use the dictionary while editing, simply toggle it off in the Report Editor settings.


Text Toolbar

Enhance your inspection reports by using bold, italic or underline formatting to highlight key details and improve readability. These simple tools add structure and emphasis, helping you present information clearly and professionally.

When the Text Toolbar is enabled, you will see the toolbar appear above the text fields of the report editor:
