Copying photos is especially useful when transferring images between different types of inspections, such as from a Check-Out to a Check-In report. This ensures your new report contains all relevant visual evidence without needing to manually re-upload images.

Getting Started

  1. When creating a new inspection, look for the checkbox Include Images from Previous Inspection and tick it if you want photos carried over automatically.

  2. If you did not tick Include Images from Previous Inspection, you can still copy photos after starting your report by clicking on the Uploads tab.

Copying Photos

  1. Under the Uploads tab, click the Copy From Previous Inspection button. You can only select a previous inspection from the same property.

  2. Select the specific previous inspection you want to copy photos from.

  3. Inventory Base will pull through all the selected photos into your new report. If the template hasn’t been changed, the photos will keep their original room/item assignments.

💡 Tip: This works for transferring images between inventory, follow-up inspections, or between Check-Out and Check-In reports.

Managing Imported Photos

Easily review, reassign, or update imported photos to keep your reports accurate and organised.

Click on a photo to access options such as:

  • Update room/item assignment

  • Add caption/description

  • Enable 360° view

  • Hide on Report

  • Mark as cover photo

You can also annotate an image by clicking the pencil icon.

To manage multiple photos at once, tick the checkbox in the upper-left corner of each photo and click Assign Selected to bulk assign or remove photos from specific rooms or items.
