How to Resolve Issues with Completed Inspections Not Syncing Between InventoryBase and MRI

When completed inspections in InventoryBase do not sync to MRI, the cause can often be attributed to missing property links. Below, we provide steps to identify and resolve the issue.

Common Cause of Syncing Issues

If a property was manually added in InventoryBase and does not have an MRI ID linked, any associated inspections for that property will not sync to MRI. This happens because the link between InventoryBase and MRI relies on the property having a correctly assigned MRI ID.

Steps to Resolve the Syncing Issue

To enable inspections to sync to MRI, ensure that the property in InventoryBase is properly linked with an MRI ID. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the property in InventoryBase. - Navigate to the property that you suspect is not syncing correctly.

  2. Edit the Property Details. - Click on the edit (pencil) icon to access the property’s details.

  3. Link the MRI ID. - Locate the field for "MRI ID" and ensure it is correctly populated with the corresponding ID from your MRI Sales & Lettings system.

  4. Save the Changes. - After updating the MRI ID, save the changes to the property’s details.

  5. Retry Syncing the Inspections. - Any inspections linked to the updated property should now sync successfully to MRI.

Additional Tips

  • If you are uncertain about which MRI ID to use, consult your internal team managing the MRI Sales & Lettings system.

  • Ensure that all mandatory fields for syncing are fully and correctly completed in InventoryBase.

By following the above steps, you can resolve most syncing issues independently without needing further support. If problems persist, consult InventoryBase support for additional assistance.
