When managing inspections in Inventory Base, you might need to add additional signers to ensure all relevant parties can review and sign the inspection report. Learn how agents can complete this task and the conditions that allow clients to add signers themselves.

Adding an Additional Signer as an Agent

Agents can add extra signers to an inspection by following these steps:

  1. Open the inspection in your InventoryBase account.

  2. Click the edit icon next to the contacts section.

  3. Add the required contact information.

  4. Select both the "signee" and "deliver" options for the new contact.

  5. Save your changes.

Once these steps are completed, the system will automatically send an email to the additional signer containing a copy of the report for their review and signature.

Can Clients Add Additional Signers?

In most scenarios, adding signers is a task handled by agents. However, clients may also add signers if the following conditions are met:

  • The client has a profile set up on the account.

  • The client profile has the necessary permissions to modify inspections.

If the inspections are not associated with a client profile, agents must ensure that the correct client profile is linked. To do this, agents should:

  • Add the contacts manually as described in the steps above.

  • Verify the inspection is correctly associated with the appropriate client profile.

Best Practices for Managing Roles and Permissions

To ensure a seamless workflow:

  • Regularly verify that client profiles are set up with accurate access levels and permissions.

  • For clients who frequently need to manage signers, ensure their profile includes the necessary rights to access and modify inspections.

This proactive management will minimise delays and support client independence where appropriate. By following the guidelines above, agents and clients can collaborate effectively to manage inspection workflows in Inventory Base.
